---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE DETAILS

What is a sample sale?
A sample sale features gowns that are sold as is, off the rack. This is a wonderful option for a bride who doesn't have 4 - 6 months for a new gown to be made, or for brides who are looking for a designer gown for a fraction of the retail price. All dresses will be on sale for $300 - $1500, but usually retail from $1200 - $3500!

What sizes will be available?
There will be over 80 gowns discounted with size ranging from 4 - 22, although many of the gowns will be a size 8 - 12. Keep in mind wedding dress sizing runs small so if you normally wear a size 8, you may need a size 10 - 12 depending on the designer.

Is an appointment required?
No - sample sales are a fast-paced shopping experience that is different from our classic bridal appointment experience. All gowns are first come, first serve so make sure you snag your spot early. Like they always say - the early bride gets the gown! Consultants will be on hand to help you get in and out of gowns and to answer any questions.

What else do I need to know?
Space will be limited, so we do not recommend bringing a large entourage with you. 1 - 2 of the most important individuals in your gown decision are who you should bring. Gowns are sold as is and alterations are not included. Sample gowns will be displayed alongside our everyday inventory, but don't worry you will be able to identify which gowns are on sale right away. We do not recommend attending the sample sale if it is your first trying on experience. No holds on inventory and all sales are final - so if you find the gown of your dreams be prepared to purchase and take with you the same day.

Planning on shopping to find your dream gown? Give us a call at 816-216-7454 to let us know and we will have a special gift set aside for you when you arrive.

See you Saturday where you will get the best deal of your life for the best day of your life!

REAL BRIDE: Annie

Scott & Annie Bryant

04.22.17

This Kansas City wedding was endlessly pretty, with chic modern lines, a mix of earthy tones, & a couple with killer style- plus of course, the spectacular backdrop of our stunning Kansas City. & if you think that's good, just wait until you see the dessert bar & their a d o r a b l e first look! If you're in the midst of wedding planning, this is a celebration you're going to want to steal ideas from! I know I say this a lot (& I mean it every time!) but this wedding will make you smile so big your cheeks hurt!

How did the two of you meet?
"Technically, we went to high school together... & college together. But, we didn't 'meet' until 2011. We were out over Thanksgiving break, on that night when everyone is home for the holiday & you go out & see a billion of your high school classmates, & we both ended up at the Brooksider... the rest is history."

Did you have a specific theme in mind while planning?
"We laugh about this one, because to Scott the concept of a 'theme' did not make any sense. However, one of the first 'themes' he sarcastically suggested was 'trees' & it kinda stuck.  We wanted everything to be natural, modern, & lush. Our invitations were from Minted & we were able to customize a beautiful mix of deep blue, charcoal gray, black, white, & various greens, with images of greenery & lilies of the valley. Those invitations served as the inspiration for the slate blue bridesmaid dresses, my gray silk sash, & the blue thistle in the flowers. It also complemented the tone of Three Points which is chic & clean, so it didn't take a lot to decorate such a special space; especially with the incredible sunset we has as a backdrop."

What was Scott's favorite moment from your day?
"Scott said his favorite moments were our first look because he was so excited to see me & also our reception & talking to everyone there. It was great to have all the people we care about there all in one spot."

What made you decide to get married on April 22?
"Well, we had a fairly long engagement and when it finally came time to get the wheels turning, we struggled because we really wanted to get married but we also loved the idea of a fall wedding. Scott put it so sweetly that, since we already love the fall, our date of April 22 would give us even more reason to love the spring. It was also Earth Day, which ended up being kind of the running joke of the day."

What was one of your favorite moments from your big day?
"The weather on our day was just so... sublime, it made for so many amazing moments. Seeing how beautiful my friends & sisters were while getting ready. Seeing Scott for the first time! All the love we received from strangers around town- at the Nelson, in Westport, & downtown. Hearing my song, 'In Your Eyes,' cover of Peter Gabriel's version by Vitamin String Quartet, popping champagne before dinner. Arriving to our reception & seeing the incredible sunset. I could go on..."

Where did you draw your inspiration & ideas from?
"Our personal tastes, wedding blogs, researching the hashtag #kcweddings, & what felt & looked good."

What advice would you give to other brides in regards to dress shopping?
"Well, this question is kind of tough. Dress shopping wasn't the easiest for me. I wasn't in the best shape, I never really had interest in a big white gown before; it just seemed to be loaded with such pressure & expectation. I would say... first, find something that makes you feel pretty. Second, don't worry about needing to be a certain size to fit a certain type of dress; try everything, you never know what will surprise you. Third, be honest, with yourself & your mom & whomever else is there. Next, the ladies in the bridal gown market are true professionals & won't let you down. Finally, remember that if the day comes & you feel like your arms aren't thin enough or your waist could be smaller... try to not worry about that. The only thing that people are going to notice is your smile. When you're in the bridal haze, you may not get that, but it's true."

Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Bryant!
