When it comes to holiday weddings, we're partial to New Year's Eve nuptials. The energy of NYE is already upbeat and optimistic; add love into the mix, and what could be better? Zach and Vanessa's wedding, filled with navy, gold, grey, and champagne details, was a glamorous NYE event, without the holiday taking away from their big day. These lovebirds truly nailed their New Year's Eve wedding!

What advice would you give to other brides?

"The day goes by so quickly! Take moments throughout your day to stop, take a deep breath, and take in the memories being created around you. Intentionally capturing these memories will help you slow down the day and remember it even better. It also forces you to take moments to really appreciate all of the details during your day!"

Where did you draw your inspiration & ideas from?

"Mostly Pinterest and bridal magazines! A lot of my ideas came from my super-creative Matron of Honor, Kelly!"

How did you meet your husband?

"I met Zach through mutual friends a long time before we started dating. A few years passed and one of my bridesmaids, Ashley, was getting married, so I reached out to Zach and asked him to be my date. Her wedding was our first date and the beginning of our forever!"

Tell us about the proposal!

"Zach proposed to me in our home, in front of our Christmas tree, just a few days before Christmas. He told me he had an early Christmas gift for me, and when I turned around he was on one knee! He said lots of really sweet things- that I can't remember because it's a blur- and of course I said yes! We celebrated by drinking champagne and calling friends and family to share our good news!"

What made you decide to get married on NYE?

"Who wouldn't want to get married on New Years Eve?! We will forever have a reason to celebrate the new year. Celebrating such a fun event with all of our friends and family made it the perfect start to the new year."

What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?

"My favorite moment was midnight! Being surrounded by all of our family and friends and kissing my new husband during the new year countdown was magical. It was a cumulation of all of the planning and excitement all built up. I started crying and told Zach how happy I was. It was perfect."
